Teen Cruising Camps

What is a “Cruising Camp”? Well, glad you asked! Teens move aboard a large sailboat for the week, many who have never sailed before and take off for an adventure of a lifetime. During the day, they learn new skills while sailing to exciting locations. After navigating the ship to a new port, the anchor drops and it is time to explore for the afternoon. There are shore excursions or water activities and then it is back to the boat for the night. After dinner and a team meeting to discuss plans for the next day, it’s lights out on the boat. The group of teens quickly bond together as a sailing crew and get into the grove of life aboard.

After the initial shock of having their phones locked up in a waterproof box, the teens are officially “unplugged” for the week. With so much to do, they soon forget the wifi world and enjoy exploring the sea.

Teens may join the Chesapeake Bay Cruising Camp in the Summer or take one of our Bahamas trips in the winter. Teens fly into Marsh Harbour Bahamas and sail the Sea of Abaco for a week. Snorkeling in the warm water is always a favorite. And, sometimes we catch enough fish to feed the entire crew!
