Summer Camps 2022

Camps were packed with children and teens, and the 2022 summer program was a huge success! Special thanks to Greg Espinoza, who was our day camp head counselor on the beach. Every Friday turned into “Dress Like a Pirate Day”. For some reason, sailing with a pirate outfit on is just more fun! This is a tradition that will definitely carry over to 2023.

Sailing to “The Island” is a favorite activity for the kids. “The Island” is a large float that we anchor out in the Chesapeake Bay. On one relay, they sail up to the island and maroon their instructor, then show off their sailing abilities on their own as they round a set course. The game is not complete until they pick their instructor from the island, and are congratulated on the accomplishment of handling the vessel all on their own.
